What the audit covers

Five places budget leaks, and where we look first.

01
Conversion tracking
Is what you optimize toward even real?

Almost every account we open is optimizing toward a conversion action that is double-counting, firing on the wrong event, or disagreeing with the CRM. If the signal is wrong, everything downstream is wrong. We check it first. See why Google, Meta and your CRM disagree on conversions.

02
Bidding strategy
Is the algorithm pointed at pipeline or at clicks?

A campaign can show a conversion goal while the bid strategy quietly buys traffic. We read what the account is actually instructed to do, not what the goal column claims. The full logic is in our Google Ads bidding guide.

03
Targeting and exclusions
Is budget reaching buyers, or leaking into junk?

Off-ICP audiences, mobile-app placements, and the leads your own sales team already rejected quietly drain spend. We map what is excluded, at which level, and what should be. Details in the exclusions guide.

04
Account structure
Is the account built to scale or to plateau?

Structure decides whether more budget buys more pipeline or just more waste. We look at how campaigns are split, how the learning phase is handled, and where the account will break when you scale it. See our three-campaign B2B setup.

05
Attribution
Can you trace spend to closed revenue?

Clicks and impressions are not a business case. We check whether you can follow a dollar of spend through to a booked meeting or closed deal, because that is the only number leadership can make budget decisions on.

What you walk away with

A prioritized list, not a 40-page PDF nobody reads.

The audit is a working session, not a sales pitch. You leave with three things, in plain language.

  • What is broken, ranked. The specific findings across the five areas above, ordered by impact, not by how easy they are to fix.
  • What it is costing you. Each finding tied to the spend it is wasting or the pipeline it is leaving on the table, as far as your data lets us estimate it.
  • What to fix first. A short, sequenced list you can hand to whoever runs the account, whether that is us, your team, or your current agency.

And if the honest answer is that your paid media is fine and the problem is elsewhere, we will say so. We would rather tell you not to spend than sell you management you do not need.

Who this is for

An audit is worth it when the account matters. Here is who we run them for.

This is for you if
  • You are spending real budget on Google, LinkedIn or Meta but cannot tie it to pipeline
  • You inherited an account you do not fully trust and want a senior second opinion
  • Your CAC is climbing and you cannot tell if it is tracking, targeting, or structure
  • You are about to scale spend and want to know the foundation will hold
  • You want an honest read on an agency's work before you renew
This is not for you if
  • - You want someone to rubber-stamp the current setup
  • - You are not able to grant read access to the accounts
  • - You are shopping purely for the cheapest bid manager
  • - You have no ICP and no process to close the leads you generate

The thinking behind the audit is public: how we read a bid strategy, where budget leaks into junk placements, and why your conversion numbers never match. Or see the Google, LinkedIn and Meta engagements.

FAQ

Questions before you book.

What is a paid media audit?

A structured review of your ad account across five areas: conversion tracking, bidding, targeting and exclusions, account structure, and attribution. You get what is broken, what it is costing you, and what to fix first. Ours is reviewed by the person who runs the accounts, not a junior or a sales rep.

How much does it cost?

We scope the audit on the call rather than selling a fixed package. Short, defined pieces of work are billed hourly and ongoing management is a monthly retainer. Book a call and we will scope it to your account, with no obligation to continue.

Which platforms do you audit?

Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads. Most accounts we audit run more than one, and the audit looks at how they work together, not each in isolation.

What do you need from me?

Read access to the ad accounts, and ideally visibility into how leads or purchases are tracked in your CRM or analytics. The most valuable findings come from tracing spend all the way to closed revenue, which needs both sides.

Do I have to sign up for management afterward?

No. The findings are yours to act on however you like, including handing them to your own team or your current agency. If it makes sense to work together we will talk about it, but the audit is not a bait-and-switch.
